Happy 6 Week Anniversary!

We all know the traditional gift for a happy couple reaching its first anniversary is paper, and its twentieth china, but what do you get a social enterprise for its 6 week anniversary?  In our case, the completion of the first campaign on StartSomeGood which achieved huge success!

Wildstar Folk and Farm School was one of our partners when we launched just six weeks ago, and ran the shortest-length campaign of any of our initial ventures.  In just 42 days, they managed to raise over $1800, surpassing their tipping point and thus converting pledges of support into funds to truly start some good!

Wildstar is a diverse farm and education center for folk arts and sustainable living skills.  And supporters of their campaign get more than just the great feeling that comes with supporting a successful campaign doing good in the world — they’re also getting some really cool rewards.  From a salad-box full of samples straight from the garden to a weekend campout on the farm, the good will be spread around quite nicely.

We couldn’t be more proud that the first campaign to reach its deadline did so with such resounding success, all the result of some incredible backers believing in an awesome venture.

That was the dream of StartSomeGood 6 whole weeks ago.  And we couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary present.
