Young Entrepreneurs Emerging on African Land
Butterfly Young Social Entrepreneurs Africa is identifying talent and positivity in Ugandan villages and capitalizing on it. In a country where young people have dreams and aspirations that are often stifled by financial instability and corruption, this project identifies potential and cultivates it. Butterfly Young Social Entrepreneurs offers training and opportunities for teens that allow them to make an impact in their communities and create social change.
Butterfly Young Social Entrepreneurs services teens from 12-18 and develop them into leaders that can circle back and make an impact on other young people in their villages. The organization recognizes that peer relationships create the most impact and put the power into the hands of young people as they seek to make a difference in the community.
The Butterfly Project focuses on a wide range of skills including technology, confidence, creativity, academics and entrepreneurship. Variety in skills training maximizes the potential of the youth and molds them into well-rounded individuals prepared to become changemakers in the world around them.
The education efforts of this program are valuable and have a huge impact on Africa and the rest of the world. To run this program and give teens the opportunities they need to make a difference, financial obligations must be met. The Butterfly Project has a tipping point goal of $7,500, which will provide funds needed to pay for rent and utilities for the training center, internet access, laptops and food. Butterfly Young Social Entrepreneurs has been working so hard and has done such an amazing job raising the capital necessary to fund this powerful and life-changing project—help give it the push it needs to get over the campaign tipping point.
