Last week we launched two new campaigns:
- Who’s Who Wiki is an open source data site that keeps track of Latin American companies and executives and empowers citizens to hold them accountable for their actions. This Wiki is a project of PODER Mexico, a not-for-profit organization in Mexico that is improving corporate transparency and accountability in Latin America through business intelligence, technology and community organizing. Ben Cokelet, the founder of PODER, won Echoing Green and Ashoka Fellowships in 2010 for his organization. This campaign will allow PODER to design, develop and launch the Who’s Who Wiki by July 2012.
- Billtown Blue Lit is working to get fiction authors noticed, appreciated and paid for their artistic talents. At the same time, Billtown Blut Lit’s efforts will also help enrich its community’s culture. The organization’s first project is to start its reading series. Writers will come to Williamsport, PA and read their work to an audience of literary enthusiasts. This campaign will help launch Billtown Blue Lit by getting the reading series up and running.
