Last week, another campaign ended successfully:

  • The Red Eye Gravy Theatre company surpassed its total funding goal and raised $2,015 to hold a production of Romeo and Juliet that will promote equality and raise awareness of teenage homophobia and bullying that results in low self esteem and suicide.  The play will feature the two main characters as a gay couple and will allow organizers to open up a forum for discussion after the show.  The campaign funds will help the Red Eye Gravy Theatre Company pay for rehearsal space, set pieces, costumes, and props.  Proceeds from the show will be donated to The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization that prevents suicides among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth.
