Pick Up America is the first coast-to-coast roadside trash pickup, using these efforts in conjunction with coordinated outreach to draw attention to our disposable culture and encourage a transition to zero waste. In addition to picking up tons of trash, the Pick Up America team will speak at schools, universities, summer camps, churches, and community centers, organize volunteer groups, create recycled art, and coordinate large public awareness events. The goal is to inform and then empower communities to transition to zero waste. This is Pick Up America’s second campaign on StartSomeGood. Last year, the team raised funds to pay for its trip from Ohio to Colorado. This new campaign, Save Due West, will literally help save Due West, the team’s on-the-road home and office that needs a new engine.

Founded by three MBA students from Thammasat Business School, Deejai will begin by providing educational toys for pre-school students that will be provided to schools, helping children develop basic skills and instilling in them the curiosity of learning. This past week, Deejai reached its $400 tipping point goal, which means it can purchase at least 2 educational toy sets.
