The Early Education for Every Child Foundation has begun a campaign to help disadvantaged children learn to read. The goal is to create and donate 20,000 reading kits to the Toys for Tots Foundation in addition to other international projects. The Little Reader early literacy kits are software-based kits that will be distributed along with the traditional Toys for Tots gifts and books. The funds raised for this campaign will contribute to the cost of producing and shipping the discs.

TIRI is designed to reduce the number of driving accidents caused by texting while driving. TIRI is the first smartphone application of its kind that will reply to anyone that sends a text to the driver by gathering relevant information and sending the most appropriate response. When TIRI reaches its tipping point goal, the funds will go into developing the basic functionality of the application, which will be made available to the public within one to two months.

Sanitation Creations is “helping the world, one toilet at a time” by designing and creating environmentally friendly waterless portable toilets. Sanitation Creationsseeks funding to create these toilets, which can be utilized to turn waste into energy by collecting the waste with a specially-lined plastic bag that kills pathogens. This campaign will help Sanitation Creations further develop the bag collection process and method for turning waste into energy using the filled bags. This will include consulting with energy experts, determining best way to collect filled bags to minimize harm to the environment, capturing the optimal amount of methane, and creating a marketing strategy to ensure bags are returned and not disposed.

This application makes it easier for you to instantly find and connect with anyone who is going the same direction as you, making ridesharing seamless, effortless, and easy. Funds raised will be used to develop a basic functioning mobile application—an instant rideshare at your fingertips! In addition, campaign funds will help to cover various legal, administration, and professional fees.

Cameron Burgess, co-founder of uncompromise, seeks funding to attend the SOCAP12 and PopTech conferences. These conferences will combine a number of projects into a more robust, cohesive, and effective ecosystem designed to serve millions of people who are working to make the world a better place. Cameron’s tipping point goal will cover his airfare from Brisbane to the US and his total funding goal will help him purchase a ticket to PopTech.

BancoH Timebank Social Business Network is developing the first online version of Time Bank Social Network that allows private consumers, businesses, and NGO’s to connect and offer services and goods. BancoH’s philosophy is time is the currency, not money. There is a real value to time that need to be recognized and this project will incorporate the concepts of time banking and social/business networks into global and local communities. The goal is to create an online Alpha Version to allow people from around the world to collaborate, and thus creating social impact through advanced time banking. Funding will be used to plan, market, and develop the program as well as pay necessary hardware, hosting, software, and design specialists to launch the website.

The 99Rise team’scampaign to make its Mass Civil Disobedience go national has reached its tipping point, but still has 7 days left to achieve its total funding goal and therefore reach even more cities with its message. 99Rise is building a nationwide nonviolent movement to free US democracy from the domination of big money and return the government to the people. It is launching a mass civil disobedience in LA and NYC on 9/28 to highlight big money’s corruption of democracy. To expand across the nation, 99Rise seeks funds to hire more organizers and pay for travel expenses as the team strives to “end dark money” and demand full disclosure of political donations to the American people.
