Physicians for Haiti was founded in the wake of the 2010 earthquake, created with the goal of empowering Haitian physicians and uniting Haitian and American physicians to share knowledge, inspire one another, and develop the tools necessary to build a stronger, healthier Haiti. Last year, Physicians for Haiti held its first annual medical conference focusing on the current state of medical education in Haiti. On December 9th, it looks forward to hosting the second major conference in Haiti. Physicians for Haiti seeks funding to extend attendance from last year, doubling the number of medical professionals that can get involved. Funds will be used for renting venues, providing food, and transportation for those who otherwise would not be able to attend.

Preciva is an impact-driven organization seeking funds to complete the prototype of a revolutionary cervical cancer screening test. Preciva’s technology has the potential to transform cervical cancer screening and treatment, especially in low-income countries where screening is currently rare, and can replace the traditional Pap test that is given in developed countries. Components can be manufactured for less than two dollars per unit and can provide immediate results. Preciva seeks funding to fully assemble a working prototype for clinical testing, resulting in essential clinical data that will attract more funding from health-focused foundations.

DT4EMS, Defensive Tactics for EMS/Fire is seeking funds for marketing and awareness purposes. DT4EMS provides much needed training to paramedics, EMT’s, firefighters, and nursing staff on how to recognize, avoid, escape, and defend against assaults while responding to medical emergencies. Injuries from assaults while on duty are the leading cause of lost work hours and this is increasing at an alarming rate. DT4EMS has trained thousands of EMS workers and now seeks funding to market its services through trade magazines, Facebook ads, and brochures.

Thanks to all of Cameron Burgess’ generous backers, he’ll be able to attend the SOCAP12 and PopTech conferences and explore how to best continue growing his organization, uncompromise, which transforms organizations into movements to drive increased revenue, impact, and efficacy in service to help support global change. uncompromise provides its professional expertise to support organizations in their quest to achieve more impact, influence, and revenue. Cameron Burgess, co-founder of uncompromise, seeks funding to attend the SOCAP12 and PopTech conferences. These conferences will combine a number of projects into a more robust, cohesive, and effective ecosystem designed to serve millions of people who are working to make the world a better place. The $4,410  Cameron raised will cover his airfare from Brisbane to the US and will help him purchase a ticket to PopTech.
