StartSomeGood was founded to empower changemakers and social change organizations to launch and grow the innovations we need to create better futures for our communities and world. Our goal is to create a world where anyone can be a changemaker and communities can determine their own destiny. We were founded by social entrepreneurs for social entrepreneurs and we’re passionate about creating the world’s leading social change crowdfunding website (although we prefer the term peerfunding).
We have a number of positions we are currently looking to fill. We have huge aspirations for this year to grow StartSomeGood into the world’s leading social impact crowdfunding platform and need to grow the team to make it happen! With a design refresh almost ready to go live, huge partnerships to announce in the next month and a growing presence and community this is the perfect time to get involved!
The Roles
All positions are part-time. You must be comfortable with this – if you are looking for a FT position then this isn’t the right fit. If you’re willing to work towards it and prepared to back yourself to make things happen then some of these roles will no-doubt grow into FT positions over the course of the year.
If money is your key consideration these aren’t for you. If, however, you’re more motivated by the chance to learn a tonne, demonstrate your mad skills and make a difference then read on.
Partnerships Catalyst
A critically-important position focused on growing, managing and inspiring our community of partners globally. The Partnerships Catalyst will have a mandate to extend our relationships in the social entrepreneurship and related sectors. This will include connecting with exciting social initiatives and exploring how we can help them, expanding our community of network partnerships, linking up our ventures with special offers and resources and connecting us with relevant events.

Community Builder
Growing, nurturing and inspiring our global community of changemakers using digital and social media. Our belief is that social media is about contribution and storytelling and, happily, we have a lot to contribute and many great stories to tell with your help. We are looking for someone based in North America to collaborate with team members around the world in curating around-the-clock communications to our global community.
Community Builder Position Description
PR Intern (paid)
Are you studying Communications and hungry for more real-world experience? We are looking for a four-month commitment of 12 hours/week with a chance to extend or transition into an ongoing paid position.
You will be working virtually and can be based anywhere in North America. You will report to our PR Director and will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of marketing a social startup while contributing to the growth of world-changing initiatives.
PR Intern Position Description
Design volunteers
We are also looking for design volunteers to get involved in the creation of posters, flyers, banners, ebooks and more. If you’d like to grow your portfolio while helping a mission-driven organization please be in touch with a brief cover letter and examples of your work. This is less structured than the positions above, without a set number of hours/week, and focused around some projects we’d like to see produced. We hope to expand this into an ongoing paid design role in the near future. If this sounds like fun and you have some time to get involved we’d love to hear from you!
